As a Community Learning Centre at the heart of a disadvantaged area we aim to meet the needs of the local people by offering adults skills for employment and social skills. There are activities for all ages; we have a nursery; an after school club, playschemes, many classes and a volunteering programme.
Support is given to people with basic skills needs. We have a furniture store selling cheap furniture, a hairdressing salon open to the public, a charity shop and a horticultural project, aimed at engaging the long term unemployed. Last year over 1200 people undertook courses and various activities.
